Here is my suggested itineraries, efficiently based on the time and the distance between the museums. On these tours it won't be longer than 15 minutes walk between the atractions. (except for the itinerary 5, it takes 15 minutes drive in between). We can efficiently use the public transport, such as tram, taxi or metro. Please do not hesitate to contact me for a custom tour .
Roman Hippodrome, which took a lot of effort and the formidable task to built an arena enormous in size for thousands who watched the chariot races, has less ruins left to see but definitely a lot to talk to bring it alive.
Blue Mosque is truly an elegant building, in a way also competing Hagia Sophia while facing each other, reveals its beauty right after the first step in. It is an active mosque since 17th century, so you must follow the visiting hours (longer gap to visit in the morning 08:30-12.00), (afternoon 14.30- 16:30). Dress code: Women should wear a long dress or trousers and a head scarf / Man should wear long trousers.
Topkapı Palace is a huge museum, one can easily spend the whole day to digest the entire royal families' lifes. Walking through the rooms is quite like feeling the past in the present.
Grand Bazaar is the biggest historical shopping mall, built in1461, employs over 16 thousands and welcomes millions. You should definitely take the advise of your guide to choose the one out of nearly 4 thousands stores in it.
Hagia Sophia once was the biggest church of Christendom is an active mosque, generously welcoming visitors today. It is a blessing building to our country, provided by history. Dress code: Women should wear a long dress or trousers and a head scarf / Man should wear long trousers.
Underground Cistern is an uniqe structure, built in 6th century. It used to keep the water of Constantinople safe from the enemy. Today it is an impressive museum, attracts millions.
Suleymaniye Mosque: It is the biggiest mosque of it's time and now it is the perfect place where you can also see the surrounding structures, built simultaneously around the mosque such as, the bath house, workshops, library, university, hotel copmlex, hospital and cemetery. They were all constructed as a source of income for the mosque.
Spice Market is kind of a smaller version of grand bazaar, it was built in 17th century. It is a colourfull place, where you can find turkish delights, spices, nuts, tea and coffee. Surrounding structures such as Rustem Pasha Mosque and oldest coffee store are also worth seeing.
Dolmabahce Palace is the one built in 19th century, it looks prety european conparing Topkapı Palace. It is a beautiful museum today where you can spend 4 hours easily. it includes the state departman, harem and oil paintings exipition.
Bosphorous is the strait about 32 km between black sea and marmara sea. It has an importand strategic value and beautiful structures a long the way.
Archeology Museum has nearly one million unique artifacts from all over Turkey and some other countiries. It is the place where you can experience Troy, Mesopotamia, even Egypt without going there.
Chora Church is definitily the one for those enjoy seeing the cristian iconography. I am sure that you can never see such itricate and story telling mosaics elsewhere.
Mosaic Museum is a small but one of the most enjoyable museum where you can only see the mosaics of Constantin's place.
